Well, I have made several attempts and have learned that I have a LOT to learn! This is the only cab out of 10 that took a polish...before my polish pad shredded, flew off and tangled in my blinds. Had to cut it out...It was the first time I had used the polishing pad on the flat lap and I followed all the instructions. I had to have done something wrong though. Anyway, this Mexican crazy lace has ridges, etc. but it did shine some. I am not giving up though! Time will tell if I get this down. and another view,

frane, Nothing wrong with that cab! I like the darker Crazy Lace and you don't see it very often. Don't beat yourself up over it for sure. It takes alot of practice, and eventually....you'll get your own way of cabbing down. I think everyone has their own unique rythm of cabbing...so...your gonna find yours! Careful with those flying pads too! Steve

Looks pretty good. Cabbing takes time to get down so just eep at it and watch yourself get better every time.

Yep, I glued the pad down. I have a swap top so I have been going step by step. The outer half of the pad flew off and the rest stayed glued. I thought I was doing pretty good until then. I am seriously thinking of getting a vibe tumbler and finishing the cabs that way. What do you all think? Fran

Very nice, Fran! Don't get antsy and go to the vibe. Just stick with it and it will give you all you want. The main things is to stay long enough with each grit to get all the scratches out. When I first started I was lucky to get a shine at fine grits. Now I often get a pretty start with 1200. Tony

That's a pretty cab, I love that dark lace. You did a good job with it. I tumble vibbed cabs when I first started out but its much more gratifying to do the whole process by hand.
