Here's another large tumbled Brazilian agate that I did in my 12lb Thumler's tumbler. I tumbled it with previous rocks that were not that good the first time around. Some of the smaller ones came out quite nice so I decided to include them. Notice how even an Apache Tear came out nicely polished. I don't know how it got through all the stages, but somehow it did. Of course I'm not including all the others that came out bad. As always, thanks for looking. Condor

Some nice Mexican lace in there...Obsidian is always a challange..I like that green stone and the "eye"...The large stones shaped nicely but those pits are impossible, are they carnellian? csroc

I don't think they're carnelian. I'm not even sure.

Those are really nice tumbles but that is one big tumble! It amazes me that the big one doesn't pulverize the little ones.

Nice batch - you got a nice shine on those. So I guess the monster didn't crush the little ones?

What did you use for prepolish and polish? I'm having a heck of a time with obsidian.

Although that obsidian came out nice, when I tumble apache tears only, or other obsidian I go with 60/90, 120/220, 400F, tripoli, then the aluminum oxide. I've had good results that way.
