Hello All! I am new to tumbling and feel that you all may give me a hand. How long does Amber need to be tumbles for? I realize it is a soft stone (2-3 on hardness scale), does this effect the time in the tumbler? Thank you all and I hope to hear back from some of you experts!!! -Chus

i have never tried to tumble amber. i'm sure it wouldn't take as long to tumble it compared to agate. i know i have worked amber by hand with just sand paper and water. maybe you can tumble it and check it every day or two to see how it is coming along. i'm sure it will tumble up pretty quick. well just my thoughts. take care.
