My Lot o tumbler ( vib ) heats up and shuts off. Havent used it that much, but have not been able to run a complete cycle with it. Thought maybe I was overloading it. But went by the book? I noticed when it shuts down the mix is dry and not tumbling. Could this be putting stress on the motor.?? Any advise rendered will be appreciated. Unit will refunction when motor cools.

Dry is not a problem for the motor, although nothing will shape or polish unless damp. However "not tumbling" sounds like something that would strain the motor. Is the load semi-cemented?
If you keep the load damp and it still shuts off, then it sounds like a replacement motor will be needed. Hopefully it is still under warrantly.

Deb your right, called factory rep and he said it was a faulty motor, and they are sending me another. Sure thank you for your response.

I don't know if you are aware of the fact that the frame on the Lot-O is guaranteed for life!!
After 10+ years of running pretty much 24/7/365 mine cracked.I sent it back and they sent me a new one free!!
By the way,,,,I'm still using my original barrels too!
Can't beat that!!
