Lots of nice patterns in the pet wood and the quartz looks very nice! It gets easier as you go. Do you use a vibe tumbler or a rotary? Fran

Nice job! I'd love to hear the details of the tumble. How long did you run in rough? Are you happy with how the quartz came out? I ask because quartz has a reputation as hard to tumble...

I use a rotary tumbler.
The quartz was tumbled for a week in the rough grit. This was part of my first batch that I pulled out when I combined 2 three pound barrels. I added them back in when my second batch was at the third stage with 400 grit. The first batch was much nicer because they had less cracking. The polish on the second batch was better than the first. Over all I am happy with the quartz and was surprised how quickly it shaped up due to it's hardness.
