I have a new Thumlers AR2 tumbler, it ran for about 4 days no problem. But now the barrel keeps riding up on to the white wheel on the idle arm, which of course means it is not tumbling. I do not have it overloaded, in fact, it may not have enough in it? Can too light a load cause this? Any sugestions, this is my first tumbler and I am not sure what I have done wrong. Thanks Ed

You should have it loaded to 3/4 full and just enough water to cover.

Can you post a pic? I am not sure what you mean... I have a Lortone and it has plastic washers on each end to prevent the barrels from riding too close to the edges.

Sounds like you're running it with only one barrel, Ed. If so, put the other barrel on (empty is ok, w/lid and gasket) to keep the first one from travelling.

I will try to get a picture, but that is what it is doing, lifting up on the white idle wheel or washer on the end of the spindle. I have both barrels on, and both are full. The edge of the barrel is kind of rough, maybe that is what is catching on the wheel and making the barrel lift up and jump off.

Gotta have the metal lids towards the plastic washers. Metal lids outwards...
