I read some of the prior posts. I am a newbee. We have a bunch of beach agates and want to get a reliable tumbler/polisher. From the sounds of it, there's an "ultra vibe 10 "thats industrial for $195, but someone mentioned a Thumlers vibe heavy duty, but I didnt see where to get one. or the cost. Cabellas has their own models of rotating tumblers. any recommendations on vibrating vr rotating for our purposes? thanks in advance.

The Ultra Vibe 10 is the Thumler's Industrial. As far as I've heard the Cabellas/reloading dealers carry the non-industrial units not rated for rocks. Compare Cabellas' rotary tumblers to Thumler's. They may have them with there own labels but should have Model B and AR2. Both are excellent tumblers.

sounds like for my purposes a vibrating tumbler might be the way to go, and the vibe 10 appeals to me if its going to last. at this point we have alot of beach agates to polish but in looking at the pics folks have posted, we also have some central oregon thunder eggs and some petrified wood that we might take a shot at. On the cabellas site they seem to have tumblers only. appreciate any and all input. Thanks

If you are going to have a good polish you should try to Rotary tumble the first stage like most others do on RTH
You get a better shape and product this way
