I recently tried an idea for my 10-lb vibratory tumbler...went to a craft store and got a 12x18 inch sheet of some craft felt, cut it into small strips and squares and added them to the vibe. I was hoping it would help a little. Any others tried adding polishing aids to their vibe? Any advice or ideas?

Well, don't keep us in suspense: did it help?

Apparently the stiff type of craft felt simply piles up in the center of the vibe and doesn't circulate with the stones. Ah well.
I tried rubber bands in the rotary tumbler once...ended up with a AAAA-sized egg-shaped ball of rubber bands tangled around one stone. I was so amazed to find it that I saved it, haven't even unwrapped any to see what went into the center... want a pic? lol
I'll definitely try out the ceramic cylinders sometime soon. Thanks for that.

That rubber band ball really tied itself up good. Must be a very shy rock.
