Geez louweez, had company for two weeks that I thought was staying for ONE week--they took over the computer and entire room 24/7 the entire time. I am now trying to 'catch up' with all the rocks/finds of the folks on here. Here are the last of my woods--some pretty little palm wood: palm palm palm small palm palm, and some lumpy stuff These little 'doggies' are being seperated from Mom for branding, vaxes, and 'snipping' NOT HAPPY! Not a clue--anyone with an idea? No clue--any help? What's the 'rind' in front rock? interesting detail-- And these would be--? On the way to a pretty rock hunting area WY, saw elk in the trees on the left-- It's me, holding up a piece of silicified wood, in an area littered with the stuff WY Thank you for looking, I sure hope a few of you can take a stab at some of the stuff here. I realize it's pet wood, but what is all the other stuff that seems to go along with it? And there are so many kinds of pet wood--I am confused, believe me. I'm not even 100% sure I got the palm wood thing right! Nona

Nona, Great pictures and Great Rocks! I think you nailed it on the Palm Wood. The rest is Wood...but don't have an idea what kind. The white nodules look like Snakeskin Agate to me. Thanks for sharing your stuff. I also imagine those calves are scared stiff. I've docked sheep before, and what an experience! Steve

I will agree that those white agates are Snake Skin Agate.

I know the feeling about the computer. Hard to be nice when your normal routine is thrown out the window. ;D Just a wild guess, but it is possible the pieces toward the end are Petrified Jungle Vine. It looks just like the pictures of living vine you see in tropical areas.

I am not sure, but it looks like the rind on that one piece of wood is where it agatize or crystalized. Those are some great finds. Tami
