Very nice. (Big thumbs up)
I have often wondered just how they do some things. I learn by trial and error, mostly error. It helps a lot to see how a pro does it.
I have a question. Where do you get your raw silver from. I have some stones I want to mount, but not a supplier.

UtahRH, Thanks,,, You got one thing wrong though.I AM NOT a pro by no means! I just started doing this a few months ago and have made about 1000 times more scrap the jewelery! We have a few pro's here but I can't hold a candle to any of their work. I get my sterling silver from Gesswein only because it about 25 miles from me and they have it to me the next day with free shipping. www.gesswein.com/catalog/home.cfm?CFID=1900194&CFTOKEN=35989555If you're looking for wire there are tons of places on the web that sell it. Tami, Thanks,,,, I left a LOT of steps out.I HATE taking photos of something like this because it breaks my "rythum".....if I have any to begin with!! LOL stones'''rock Thanks,,,,,, I don't really have a lot of pieces to show but if I get the urge to melt some silver I'll post the photos for you. Titania,,,, Thanks,,, They really didn't come out as well as I would have liked.I'm NOT very good at wire wrapping and the top part of the earrings reflects that. I try to have a basic plan as to what I want to make but it gets changed a LOT as I go along due to my inexperience and lack of a warehouse full of sterling silver. If you can believe these took me over a week to make and if they weren't for my g'daughter s B'Day I would have quit on them and been done with it. connrock

Whooooooaaaa..... Back up one space. How the heck did you make those dapping punches?? I would kill for a dapping set but they're ridiculously expensive to buy. How'd you do that?

Cher,,,,
Thanks,,,,,,
The earrings are one of the few pieces I've made that I like.I don't like my wire work but the design is nice.
nansaidh,,,,
Thanks,,,,,,
Like they say,,,,necessity is the mother of invention so I did!!!
I had a bunch of old bearing balls and some 3/8" round stock.I just ground a small flat on each ball,,,cleaned it VERY good and washed it in dish soap. Then I silver soldered the 3/8" stock to the balls. I've been whacking the heck out of them for a few months now and they haven't fallen apart.
If they do I'll solder um up agin!!
I don't know why the heck they are so darn expensive but that WAY out of my pocket books realm!

conn - thank you very much. I need to do something like that. I see a scavenger hunt for ball bearings in my future. Nancy
