My load got sticky so I added water-too much water. Now I had soup so I called on my vast culinary skills and added cornstarch-walla,gravy!Methinks this might be useful to start the slurry going at first, probably in rotaries too. I'm guessing this has been done by others.Comments?Mike.

Mike, An old friend of mine had a couple rock nuts for parents. They would cut the tips off of 2 books of paper matches and throw the (sticks ) into the barrel to start the slurry in a hurry so to speak. I would think that a small handful of confetti would have the same effect ?

Harley;yep.I always use a handful of sawdust or just torn newspaper to get the rough or 150/220 going in my rotaries.Mike.

Hi Mike
Joking apart if you add a tea spoon of soapflakes that should help. Or some have used soft sand.
I use Granulated wall paper glue for 2 reasons 1-- it only lasts 2 days 2--By that time the grit has got the grinding done enough to realease some mud which holds the grit on the rocks
Have a good day
