Well seeing how Adrian is a Pet Wood Nut I thought I would show him some of the Australian Chinchilla Pet Wood I just did. I cut a bunch of geometrical shapes and tossed them in my Lot-O-Tumbler (a vibe). Enjoy Adrian!!! connrock

Nice! I particularly like the subtle patterns. Petrified wood is so cool, isn't it? I mean, what a crazy journey, and definitely not a renewable resource!

The shine is wonderous and the colors just beautiful. The middle one looks like there is a sun behind a very hazy sky.

Tom, thank you for the pictures! I LOVE Chinchilla pet wood! I have some pieces from Mike and he even gave me two tumbled cabs that he made, which look exactly like yours. My favorits in your batch are the ones at 11 o clock, 7 o clock and 5 o clock.
Perfect circular shape on the one in the middle!
Thanks again,
Adrian

Wow,,,Lotsa WOW'S here!!
It's not every day you get to see specimens like these and when my friend Darren gave me a slab of the red one I almost flipped!!!
He told me that now there are only 2 people who have a piece of his specimen! He and I.!
Darren is an avid rockhound but is addicted to petrified "anything"!He has quite a collection of the "odd" specimens.
Adrian I doubt if Darren would be willing to sell any of his specimens but I will ask him for you.
Glad you all like the pieces!

Thanks Rocky and Jack,,,
Good material is the key to sucess and this Aussie "wood" is the best out there for density! I kind of polishes itself!!

Very pretty stuff Mr Rock, I do enjoy seeing Petrified Wood of all varieties, but I have to agree that the examples you have there are beyond the norm, in fact they are outrageously beautiful. The shine is exquisite, and your pre-forms came out as total gemstones. Great Tumble Sir!
Cheers,
Sparkles.
