I have a new Tumbler's Tumbler A-R-2. I am doing my first two batches. One in course and one in the next grit. Everything doing pretty good, but having some problems with drums leaking. I use cold water only to start(ice water). Had some spillage and just added some grit. Can you have to much grit? I have cleaned and washed both drums and have set them to dry before starting again. Does that maybe make a difference? Any advice appreciated.

Welcome Bob... probably better to start with hot than cold (pressure will contract the barrel as the water cools making a better seal).
You cannot really have too much grit, you will waste it if you don't give the grit sufficient tumbling time to break down. just make sure the grit is not interfering with the ability of the barrel to seal

Hot water really is one of the best hints when it comes to the Thumler's barrels. I also burp the barrel before the final seal, making sure the underside of the barrel is concave. And I let the barrel sit for a few minutes after sealing it, to allow the pseudo vaccuum to form.

I use hot or warm water also. I know you said you washed well, but with these lids any little foreign matter, or grit, pellet, etc in the inside lid groove will cause it to leak. Also the outside groove where the band (big O ring) goes can cause a problem if there is anything in it. I use a wet then dry paper towel to clean out grooves just before I put lid on.
