Hello All!
Long time rock hound, First time tumbler here. As an apparently uninformed consumer and novice tumbler, I made the mistake of procurring a Raytech TV-10. First motor died after 5 days. Second motor still running. I am in my final polish of my first batch. (whoo hooo!)
However, my problem is the drain port feature that seemed like a really good option to a beginner. Unfortunately, every batch has resulted in it becoming severely clogged with grit / grit slurry. Packed so tight I have to use a metal pick to clean it out. The system has a drain line, but I have not used that, opting to put the small black plug they provide over the drain port. Rationale being that I wanted to keep the grit INSIDE the bowl. AND...I have to clean it out after every batch, as I don't want to contaminate the next batch...sooooooo....
Am I doing something wrong to cause this? Also, does anyone know of a replacement plug that more or less seals it up?
Any help would be appreciated ! Thanks!

I may be wrong but I think the flow through drain system is more of a metal finishing feature. Thumler's flow through uses a threaded hole so plugging would be simply taking the valve out and matching the size/threads at the local hardware store for a threaded plug. There are a lot of threads here on vibes being used damp not wet etc. so you may want to search for further tips.
