Changed my tubers today and pulled this little fellar out. I picked this up out in the Moab area hunting a while back. Any ideas what it could be?? I sure do love it ;D Steve

Ooh, nice one Steve! I've seen similar stuff from Utah under the general heading of Pigeon Blood Agate, but I've also seen similar types in the plume agate category too. Gorgeous specimen anyway....Mel

Thanks everyone. I thought it was some sort of Plume...but I only found just a few pieces like this. I cabbed one, and tumbled the rest. I wish I could find more. Maybe in a few weeks>..! Steve

Oh my word that is gorgeous. Looks just like the ash plumes of a volcanic erruption only red.

Yes, it definitely looks like a cloud, or a plume from a volcano. Outstanding! And it does remind me of my favorite lava lamp.
