We'll my evening college classes started up again so that means my cabbing time has all but disappeared. I did manage to get a few done in the last two weeks of my free time and here they are.
Boulder opal. I'm really unsure about this one. I was afraid of grinding through all of the color so the top is not smooth. Does that make it look bad? I'd hate to lose what flash it has.
Ocean jasper. This one was taken out of the tumbler, I thought it was too pretty to be a tumbled rock.
Garnet. This is from the Rock in the Cache box that has been circulating. I did this tiny thing without using a dop stick.
Arizona pet wood. I bought this at my local rock shop as tumbling material but wanted to make a cab out of at least one piece of it.
Another boulder opal. No real color or flash in this one.
Don't know what this is. I got this one out of the slab box that has been circulating here. I'm thinking it might be related to tiffany stone as I think the purplish areas are opal.
Birdseye rhyolite from stonesthatrock. This was very porous so I put a coating of superglue on. This one shined up much better than the last.
I forget what this is but I got it from Spirit Stone.
This was a cab I tumbled in my first vibe batch about a year ago. It had one scratch on the front from the saw that never tumbled out so I decided to grind it out.
Chrysocolla. Indirectly from desertdweller from Spirit Stone.
Poppy jasper. I got this from sabre with a box of laguna agates I bought from him. Maybe Mel will chime in and tell me what kind it is.
I have no idea what this is but I really like it. I can't even remember where I got it.
Another unknown from the RTH slab box.
Seraphinite. This one is going to be wrapped in sterling.
Labradorite. I couldn't decide which side I liked better so I ground both. Its the biggest cab I've ever done, just over 2" long. Bought this a a show and wish I had bought more.
Thanks for looking.
