Just bought a new tumbler from a member of the forum, the model is the UV-18 industrial...My question is, how can you tell the difference between the UV-18 industrial and the regular UV-18?
All I've been able to tell is that the industrial has the blue strip on the barrell, and the regular has the yellow strip.
Please help. I just don't want to burn the puppy if it isn't the right one.
Thanks for looking
Ozzy

I heard that about the barrels, but can only confirm it for uv-10. once heard all uv-18 had same stripe, but also heard they came in blue & yellow too can you see hp and amps of motor? this page shows industrial w yellow www.thumlerstumbler.com/industrial.html

The box should say UV-18 IND. The bowl is thicker and the motor is larger. Call Thumler's Mon-Fri 8:00-4:00 Pacific time. They can give you the exact specs.

I just checked my blue stripe bowl UV-18 Industrial. Here is what the motor says: Type: U218 Amps: 1.6 RPMs: 3000 HP: 1/20
Hope that helps, Chuck
