This is my fourth faceted stone. This time it is smoky quartz. I read somewhere that smoky quartz reminds of topaz. It is really so, at least to me or I didn't saw enough of real topaz ;D. It is very hard to take a good photo of faceted stone, even more than a cabochon. That is why I experimented with different surfaces. And interesting thing is that I find that mirror like surfaces are the best for taking photo of a faceted stone. Thanks for looking. Zoran

Hey, Zoran, is this the stone I had the chance to admire in person? If so, I can tell you folks it really looks perfect, at least for an amateur eye like mine. The facets look centered and even, the edges - sharp and clear. I think the white backgrounds are the best for picturing the true color of the stone. A picture of the tablet seen from above also would be great, it will show the cutting scheme better (this is, of course, if the cutting scheme isn't an orriginal design and it's secret ) Adrian

It's gorgeous - I've always loved smoky quartz, and I love that it's becoming popular in faceted jewelry these days.

Thank you guys. Adrian that is the same stone. Regarding the picture of the table of the stone - it looks best from that view, but also that is the trickiest to photograph. And it's not secret, design is standard round brilliant cut. Kd, it's 8 mm in diameter. Stones... I am faaar from master level, but than you nevertheless. I'll keep trying though. ;D Thanks Zoran
