I started my first batch in my uv10 a couple of days ago. Don't know if its doing right or not. The rocks are moving around nicely, but not turning over and over. Looks like the water level is rising daly. I have been removing water with a syringe to get it back below the level of the rocks. As usual, I started adding rocks without really measuring to determin 3/4 full. Do I have way to much water, not enough rocks, or am I ok? Any suggestions?

Yeah, you should have no standing water. The water should be just enough to let the grit stick to the stones. I wet the rocks and then dump all the water out, leaving wet stones behind, then add grit or polish. Do any water additions with a spray bottle. If the rocks sit in water, they will just rattle on each other.

Agreed, that's way too much water. I would just remove the bowl, hold the lid a little to the side, and dump the water out. You could then add some grit to make up for what came out with the water. If there is too much water the rocks just bounce against each other; if there isn't enough water, they won't churn fast enough. It's not as difficult as it sounds and you'll quickly get the hang of it. I'm a little less scientific than snivlem and do it by eye. As he said, if they don't churn, the bang against each other and will remove any polish they had. You can see a matte finish, especially with a loop. You want the action to look like this: You may also not have enough rocks. One the advice of the TruSquare owner, I make sure mine is quite full (beyond 3/4; all the way up to the top of the center post, if not a little higher). I've found that I also need a lot of small stuff to help with the polishing. I use two sizes of ceramic pellets. Hope that helps, Chuck
