Thanks I am very excited about getting it going ... I was surprised to find that it is 110 volt , I thought I might have to have my run a 220 line for me. lol
so now comes the question about what oil to run ? I'm thinking , after reading another thread, that I might try the mineral oil from Tractor Supply.
What do you guys run ??

You will get lots of answers on the subject of what oils to use. I personally use mineral oil as it does not smell.

Nice Saw! I use Minerial oil and like it. I get mine at tractor supply but I have been told that Home depot also has it. Keith

Nice saw!
I can't find any mineral oil, but did find a supply of Almag for $30 per 5 gallons.

Looks like she's in great shape, Wolf! How did you find out about the saw? I keep scanning craigslist, but I'm guessing there aren't many saws here in Mass.

mineral oil not so stinky, but doesn't last as long either. I cut tons of rock, but i still use the mineral oil, i just have to change it more often.

Thanks Curt , if you want mineral oil I would be happy to send you some. Tractor Supply is only a short drive and if I there buying it , it wouldnt be a problem to grab extra. Just let me know Titania : I was trolling ebay when I came across the saw, I put it on my watch list and I also messaged the owner asking where they were located. at the end of the bidding only one person bid so I thought " well there goes another great deal that I missed." The next day I got a message from the seller saying that the person defaulted on the payment and that if I still wanted it to contact her , so I did , she said " if I want it to come get it, " that she was tired of doing the ebay thingy. so last friday I took a ride to NY and picked it up . They do have a couple more of these saws. When they decide to get rid of them she will get in touch with me. So when that happens I will let you know. I will go with the mineral oil and see how that works Thanks for all your comments Dennis

We expect to see some slabs soon..... Great score cant wait till mine comes. My next piece of equipment is going to be a 18" or larger saw.
