Well being a rockhound from way back I've found my way from northern ca. (rocklicker turf heheheh) to the desert of mesa....rumor has it there is a work shop in the apache junction area any tips to where(I think its a gem and mineral society type thing ) actually I'm more of an opal cutter( its like its always christmas when a cool one pops out of the rock and there were so many laying around the house the ol lady (shirley) took up wire wrapping them into pendants, ear rings etc..........of course the genie came with me to az. but I eager to see whats in the local east valley hills.............went out once when I was looking for a house........and got hot and found a bigggggggggggggg snake who ignored me and a smaller one who didn't like sharing the shade.....but at that point......I decided to come back a little better prepared and at least let some one know where I was.......should have known better.....but the rock jones had struck.......and I was just happy at that point to be going home........... 50 plus years old and still learning.........heheheh

Of course those rocks needed to be wrapped, they were born to be worn. Smart woman, your wife. Looking forward to pics and welcome to the board.

Welcome CMR Dude,
I see Quartzite and Tucson in your future. Quartzite in January, and Tucson in February. Both awesome shows.
