I just got some slabs in the mail yesterday. I ordered one of those assorted pounds and here is what I got: This one has a nice pattern in it Something green: An agate slice and something Pretty pinks and reds This is a nice one that is a pretty good size And the last ones I have no idea what most of them are, but I like them. This was a pound from Dad's rock shop. It is $8 a pound for slabs and you never know what you are going to get. So far, I have been happy with what shows up. Fran

Looks OK for $8, but it should look good for $8/lb. Many rock shops have reasonably good slabs for $5/lb. Orchid9 on ebay often puts slabs on sale at $3-$4/lb but they are not as nice as what you got.

Really nice looking Stone Canyon! I think the two in pic #5 are both Hornitos Jasper types from Mariposa Co, CA.....mel

That stone canyon steals the show. I've bought the $4 a pound lot from orchid9 that Daniel mentioned, you did much better then theirs.

Nice slabs Fran! That Stone Canyon looks a lot like the stuff I cut this past weekend. Looks like you really made out there!
