Here are several pictures of Woodward Ranch agates that I collected this summer. Since I'm posting quite a few, I've decided to do them in two parts. This was how I did them: 8 wks 60/90 in 12lb Thumler's Tumbler. 2 wks 120/220 same tumbler. 1 wk 400F same tumbler. 1 wk tripoli same tumbler. 3 days CPP polish in 10lb Mini-sonic vibrating tumbler. 2 hrs borax in Mini-sonic. It's amazing how gray the water came out after the Borax stage, even after I rubbed each individual rock and "thoroughly" cleaned the Mini-sonic after the polishing stage. The Borax burnishing makes a world of a difference. This first pics are some of the same ones in the second picture. (Before and after if you will.) Another picture of rough rocks that are found throughout the photos. Thanks for looking. Condor

WOW, what a beautiful shine and colors! And, mostly, what a striking difference between rough and polished!
The 8 weeks in coarse - with or without rechargings?

Not only is it fun and interesting to see the befores as well as the afters but it is important from a learning stand point. Who except a rockhound would know just how beautiful those rocks really are with just a little tlc.
You did a whole ton of tlc on these. Thanks for sharing

Love the before-after pics, what a difference! You took some ugly things that look like fossil turds, and made them gleam with cool patterns. Excellent job on some really nice Woodward agates. -Don

Thank you for the compliments folks. I really like WWR agates especially because of the special place that they come from and the good West Texas people who allow me (us) to collect there. Trey, Jan, if you're out there and reading this, thanks a bunch and I'll see you soon.
