Got this 5lb piece. The pattern looks like wood, and the surface is very fine and smooth and solid.

The pattern is wonderful. Do you know the hardness of the stone. I think because of the sandy look at the top it look like it might be a softer stone. Just curious.

The sandy bit at the top does crumble a bit at the edge, bit it gets hard very quickly. By 1/2" in it has got to be a solid MOHS 7.

It does look like wood. Lizard stone is a green stone I haven't cabbed yet. Does it shine up well?
