If that’s a small batch I’m going to have to get myself a bigger tumbler! Impressive stones from top to bottom, and a fabulously finished group of batches too, I love the Blue Lace, it has such an ethereal beauty, you tumbled it to perfection. The pet woods are superb, I never have the patience to go far enough with pet woods, I’m going to have to resolve that now I’ve seen yours ;D How long did they take to shape up? and did you "help them along" with a tile saw and or a dremmel? I just wondered as I've been thrashing away at a batch of pet-woods for a while now, and they never seem to change, I can't believe how hard they are! You have my admiration for producing such an inspiring tumble batch. The highlight for me though is that bunch of Mel’s Poppies, what a glorious assemblage of tumbles, you have a real “tumble to remember” there, nothing short of outstanding. Thanks so much for sharing them with us. Mel’s jaspers are certainly “the business”, the astonishing range of formations in there really made me smile. Great work Sir! Thanks again, Sparkles.

Those look awesome Cal, and the pendants turned out perfect!! You gonna bell cap them? Bell capped pendants like those are my "money makers" at the craft shows. At $5 each, I made almost $500 off pendants alone at the last one. Did you do the coarse stage in a rotary? Your entire batch looks flawless

What a huge and varied batch and done to perfection too! Gotta say my favorite is the blue lace too. Don't see it tumbled up much and that bunch came out beautifully. Like the bot and that yellow and black one in the first pic too. Is that mugglestone? Really like the color and pattern on that one......Mel

If this batch is "smaller than normal" I'm curious to see what's a normal batc for you! I love the pet woods and the blue lace. You also have a dark green stone (appearing in the first two pics, partially hidden by a slim red oval). I like it very much, is it heliotrope? Adrian

Superbly stunning, I sure don't blame your helpers for wanting to pocket a bunch of those. I think the poppies are my faves, but all are beautiful. -Don

My that Blue Lace Agate is stunning and the Poppy also got a great shine on them.
Hope your helpers dont set up a "pendant selling business" in opposition to you . !!!! LOL
have a good day

Super nice tumble! Looks like a pretty big batch to me. They are all wonderful, But I think I like the blue lace the best, I've never seen that before and yours look great!

Thanks for the kind words! Most of this batch was saw trimmings, i.e. end cuts or smaller pieces from making cabs. I don't really like the shape of tumbled slabbettes, so I shape into pendant shapes, which are more appealing to my eye. The rest are tumble size rocks I have accumulated, such as the pet wood from Pho. By the way, the blue lace is much lighter in color, more baby bluish, I think the camera picked up the color (black) of the pie tin.
Sparkles, the pet wood was not trimmed or shaped. I will leave rocks in the rough stage until I am happy with the shape, they disappear, or are thrown into the junk pike. The ones thrown into the junk pile either have big pits or fractures. If the patterns or color is great, I may trim on the trim saw!
Randy, I have bell capped some to make pendants for my daughter's soccer team and key chains for my son's baseball team. I make the stuff for the kids, when I help coach. I don't know what I will do with the rest. Probably winnow out my favorites then send the rest to Rocklicker for his club's rock show. I am sure his rock club can put the pendants shapes and other tumbles to good use!
Mel, yes, the yellow and black is the mugglestone from Africa. The black is more silvery colored in person. By the way, your poppy jasper is the left overs from cutting slabbettes! I haven't even started cutting the bigger pieces, I still have a bunch of slabbettes that asking to be cut into cabs! The Bot was one of the top ten in this batch. The back side does have a fracture. I may cut out the fracture and re-tumble.
Adrian, Thumler B model will tumble a bunch of rocks, I have never weighed out how much rock will fit into the barrel, but needless to say, there is more than enough to share, especially with the kids in the neighborhood (or anyone who expresses an interest)
Jack, if the kids want to make pendants, I would be more than happy to show them how. I know when they are in the fourth grade, the school has "town money", in which they earn money for being good, doing their homework, etc. They can bring in things to sell, and they get to spend their money. I can see my daughter and Nikolai selling pendants at the town market.
Don, I feel like I 'm riding your coat tails on Mel's poppy jaspers. Your batch of poppy jaspers from Mel were stunning (as usual)! I do like Mel's poppy jaspers as his poppy jasper is so much more solid than Morgan Hill poppy jaspers, which are just to fractured to tumble. I think in the last couple of years, I only have a few good tumbled pieces that do not have fractures.
