Hi.......I am still playing with the Keep cool rhyolite and liking it more all the time. It takes a good polish with zam as it is pretty soft. This round , semi-flat is waiting for diamond pad experiment but just had to share. Thanks for looking..........Bob Round Closeup Slab Cab

Thanks for the compliments. I found a small deposit of this stuff about 3 years ago in Western Montana while hunting jasper. The color and patterning is really variable. It grades from a really mellow pastel jasper to some really neat dendritic stuff. While the jasperish parts are nice, compact and hard the rhyolitic parts are earthier and a little harder to polish......... I do occaisionally sell some slabs on ebay. cab cab cab Another cab

Man what a fantastic scene there, like a volcanic ridge exploding. Or the Exodus plague on the Pharaoh.. a burning hail storm. Too cool!
