Just getting into rock tumbling. I have decided I want a vibratory tumbler as I desire to retain as much of the natural shape as possible. I've pretty much decided on the Gy-Roc Model B. Looking for first hand accounts to solidify my decision.
I see there some Lot-O-Tumbler users out there, and this tumbler may still be in the running depending on the replies I receive.
Thanks in advance,

I like both my Lot-O and my Model B Gy-Roc. The Lot-O is more versital in regards to bowl size. The donout shape of the Gy-roc bowl limits the size of shapes. But, you can piggy-back 3 bowls on the Gy-Roc and you have low and high-speed pulleys. You will need some measure to keep the Gy-roc from walking around.
Hard to go wrong.

Do you have a good starter recipe for a vibe tumbler? My Web research hasn't come up with anything consistent. Some list three steps, others four. One source listed this four step: 220, 600, pre-polish, polish. Didn't specify what the last two were.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Loved the Gy-Roc when I had it. After doing the 60/90 step in my rotary, I did the four steps you listed above in the Gy-Roc. Great results.
