Hello everyone. My name is John and I have been tumbling rocks and stones for a couple of years now.
I have quite a varied collection, it started of as a hobby and I now supply a selection of rough rock to buyers here in England.
I've never tried selling any of my polished stones, nor any of the jewellery I have made from stones, I get a great pleasure and pride in receiving the compliments for producing such lovely items, that I end up giving them away, and there are so so many people out there that do not believe these items started off looking (as of course they are) just pieces of rock.
I have as we speak/type a 3lb batch of Brown Goldstone, a 3lb batch of Black Sheen Obsidian, and a 3lb batch of Bloodstone, all in 1st stage (80 grit). There is a batch of Blue Lace Agate in stage 2 (220 grit) a mixed batch in polish stage.
I look forward to learning more about my hobby from this site and its users.

Hi, John and welcome! We do believe that the beautiful items you are talking about started as pieces of rock. That transformation during the polishing process, I find it one of the most amazing sides of that hobby. We can't wait to see pictures of your work.

Welcome RogueTrader. I like your story about how you started out and now supply to others. I'm sure so many of us can relate to that.
