Stunning work, Steve, on all of them! The first three ones together with the echostones are all my favorites. That coprolite is gorgeous! It confirms the nostalgy for the good ol' days: even s#!t was a beauty back then! ;D Two questions though: 1. How did you figure out it's coprolite? Was the outer shape so speciffic? 2. What about that cab holder? Could you please add a pic? I work my cabs holding them by hand, as I found that cabs can fly from the dop sticks. Adrian

Thanks guys. Adrian...you'd think coprolite would be in the brown coloring..or at least chocolate. It sure didn't have the shape as poop either. and..Tony told me it was dino poop. #2. I should have said CAB STAND! I use dop sticks too....but that dang Pigeon Blood cab was cursed from the start. It didn't want to stay dopped, and after the 3rd atempt, I gave up and finished it by hand.

Steve, those are georgous. The colors in that coprolite are amazing. You are welcome and the stand is nothing compared to your generosity. and you need a smaller stand cause the top is detracting from the beauty of those cabs. Watch your mail ;D

Very nice Cab's. Fine finish on them.
I have a friend who's father passed away a couple years ago. He was a big time Rockhound. One of his favorites was to take Green River and Capitol Reef Coprolite and turn it into spheres, and Eggs. My friends wife recently asked me if I would like to clean up the waste pile from years of cutting. I feel bad about his father as I worked with him for years at the plant, and seen much of his work, but dang it, I am looking forward to getting some of the Coprolite. There should be plenty of Cab material as he never bothered with the small stuff, just threw it on the pile.
Most of the Coprolite I seen did not have red in it, but you could make out the plant fiber in some of it. I did see one egg he made that was red to maroon in color. He did mention that it was the hardest color to find. Yours may be worth holding onto.

All of those cabs are terrific; I especially like the Picture Jasper, Coprolite, & "Unknown". Thanks for sharing. I cannot believe such variety in rocks. You have brought out their inner beauty! Thanks, Don

I love the very subtle curve on the lace cab. And the poop and pigeon blood are both really, really outstanding!

Wow Steve you are working some wonderful material and you've really improved your photos lately. You are doing some nice shapes too. That pigeon blood is the tops but the dino poop is a close second.

Nice Cabs! I like them all but am very happy to see Pigeon Blood Agate and Coprolite because Tony has given me some of the same material. I almost had a Pigeon Blood cabochon completed but tried to finish it in a tumbler and got a real big chip in it. I am hoping I can still salvage it. Haven't started working the Coprolite yet but seeing your cabochon is encouraging me to get started.

Great batch of cabs. I can't quite figure out which one I like best but the Piegon Blood is up around the top.
