I went to a rock show with Tonyterner this weekend and bought a rather unique slab. Its ocean jasper and I had never seen this color yellow in that material before. The photo doesn't do it justice. It will make a few nice cabs. There was a much more spectacular slab but that was a bit more than the $12 I spent on this, it was $80! Oh well, maybe next time, if I hit the powerball first. ;D Amber

That's a real pretty slab. I like that soft shade of yellow. It will make a couple really nice cabs. Steve

Nice slab! Looks more like a fotification than a band and in OJ no less. A first for me to see.

It is a great slab, there was another piece that was all little circles with this bright yellow around all the dots, $34 a slab. Pretty pricey stuff, the yellow is like a bright neon color it doesn't show up that bright on here, I just loved it. Nice stuff is expensive, I always have champagne tastes and a beer budget!

Now that's a cool looking piece of OJ! Really unusual and I really like it with fortifications and the yellow-green color combination........Mel

That is really gorgeous. The black with the yellow is so striking. You are going to have eye popping cabs with that material.

Hi Amber!
My word that's a spectacular chunk of Ocean Jasper! What a fantastic combination you have in that piece, It's got a bit of everything showing, I wouldn't have been able to resist either! Sounds like you got a bargain to me, and to share the day with a rock Buddy too, that makes it all the more special.
The spotty OJ patterning is superb, I really like the colours - it looks like animal print almost! But seeing the fabulous banding in this one makes it a particularly striking example. The fortification style bands are gorgeous against those streaky spots, and the infilled drusy pocket is spectacular. I love it! Just goes to show how interconnected the formation processes are - and proves that my OJ's should sit with my Agates on display! Thanks Buddy!
Cheers,
Sparkles.
