I know these weren't technically tumbled by ME, but they were tumbled in the river! I simply cut and polished a face on each. The carnelian is 12 ounces, the white plumed agate is 8 ounces and the little banded one is 4 ounces. Quite plain beforehand... Who'd have thought they would harbor such beauty? Apologies for the blurriness. Old Kodak digicam and tiny tripod. These came from the Willamette River in Salem, Oregon. Every now and then you find a good one.

Very nice I like the bottom one next to the quarter. I have a jar of agates from the Willamette river that I collected when I was a kid just can't seem to find it.

Well done, 88. Nice job making that river rock look great. That old Kodak works just fine . . . last pic proves it. Rich

Great rocks! Now I'm starting to question why I ever moved from Oregon. I'm kinda hazy about the reason.....I'm trying to remember back 48 years ago. Bob

Thanks, everyone. Some people concentrate on only cabs, some only tumble, I do a bit of everything.
I have a shelf full of a-grade agates that are polished like that...most are small, but that's how it goes. The incredible variety of agate and jasper one can find in the river gravel around here never ceases to amaze me. I've found moss agate, plume agate, obsidian, green and blue jasper, red and orange jasper, banded agates of all colors and sizes, agatized petrified wood that takes an amazing polish...

Nice comparisons. Amazing how you just never know what the insides of something are going to look like.At first my favorite of that bunch was the Carnelian (largest/red one) but after looking some more I'm liking the colors in the smallest one.

Well, shop time wasn't feasible for tonight. So here, have a consolation prize...another pic of other things I've faced and polished. Chandler Mountain carnelian, petrified wood, petrified wood, and more petrified wood.

"Thanks, everyone. Some people concentrate on only cabs, some only tumble,..."
;D
But ahhhhh there are some that like it all... LIKE ME! *smiles*.. lol.. and blurry pic? .. here I thought it was the glare .. causing my eyes to water up and .. . lol jks.. your pics look GREAT! And Man that blueish tint Rock is muh Faaavorite...and that first one on the second page is Choe-Snazzy! . I like cabs too because of Specific use you can get out of them.. But I will always love tumbled because they seem to give the rock a more Natural feel with an Insane Shine like Yours!
*smiles*
