Saturday is my day, took 2 hours and got these through all stages except cutting and grinding on the 80 grit wheel.
Be gentle with me, the pics were taken with my daughters new camera and I'm not used to it - AND someone "put away" my cab stand - so I had to improvise with this CD stand.
a tiny sliver of tiger eye that I cut in half, might make for interesting pendants
green Unknown - looks like the ocean to me - this one,s more green - like a soft pastel green - I like it
Picasso Jasper - I thought this was printstone so I didn,t pay much attention to getting this one to shine because of the comments that it would only take a matte finish Yeah I suck - Picasso Jasper - not printstone - here I was all proud that I got it to shine....
Small Graveyard plume round & another from a different slab
Viper jasper - this stuff handles like picasso marble - all soapy & stuff.
African lace or calico agate
Awesome slab of brecciated material - this polished up nice even after the 1200 belt
Finally a nice piece of mook that didn't fracture or crack
A thunderegg - didn't turn out like I wanted but it turned out okay
sodalite
Rhodonite or something like it. this stuff was super soft - like sodalite maybe more - took a mattish shine
Trapper Creek dentrite - I wanted to leave the top rough with the druzy/crystals but it was pretty dangerous & very stabby! so I ground it down a bit but left a roughish edge
Last but not least, my favorite piece in the whole bunch - this is another thunderEgg - this one was destined for an oval shape, but as I cut out the shape on the say, this shape appeared and spoke to me - who am I to argue. The shape reminds me of Sands' shapes - it also reminds me of the shape of Fyre & Ice
This is a definite keeper & a wrap waiting to happen.
I apologize for the crappy pictues, (I was just looking back) oh well
