Two more cabs today. The first one is Graveyard Plume. Larger cab - 2 1/2" wide. The Front The Back Did I pick the right sides for front/back? A real dazzler. Pietersite - 2 1/4" wide. The front. I ended up with a lot of photoflood light glare trying to show the true colors. The Back. No glare here because it was flat. Again, did I pick the right sides for front/back? Thanks for looking. Bob

the first one is beautiful but that Pietersite is GLORIOUS. With both of those cabs your choice of front was perfect because either side is the right side.

well.. the first one rocks as is.. but I like the back of that pietersite.. kinda reminds me of a picasso paint.. with the wolf and the dude in it.. blue is the sky the brown orange would be the field. .. well that's what I see .. lol..
seriously tho.. both are killer cabs!

You did the right choice, but to be honest I think I would had said the same thing if you had chosen the other sides as fronts. It's hard not to do the right choice on such great materials.
Both cabs are gorgeous!
Adrian
PS. What do you do with such big cabs, do you set them in some jewelry or just keep them as display pieces?

Adrian, Mostly I just keep them for my collection and to display in my show case. I've started work on a website to sell my cabs. Hope to have it completed real soon. Bob

Steve, This wasn't the crumbly stuff. It took a near perfect shine real easily. I did have to shape it to get rid of the soft and crumbly areas. I really enjoyed working on it and I'm very pleased with the results. Thank all of you for your compliments! Bob Bob,

Bobby, your artwork is always first rate. No need to second-guess yourself. Your consistency speaks for itself.

Had you posted the Graveyard Plume on it's own, we all would have said how great it is (and it _is_), but it's beauty suffers by comparison with the Pietersite. That's one of the prettiest cabs I've ever seen.
The form and finish on both look perfect. Well done! Chuck

You picked the best sides on both in my opinion. That peitersite is flat out gorgeous. I have had the nerve to buy any of the expensive stuff like that yet. A slab of that stuff cost more than my grinder. lol

You did a great job. Not sure what you see but both cabs have excellent shape and polish. Keep up the great work and hope to see more of your work.
