Howdy folks, Well, as I said the other day, I finally got the storage locker unloaded and all the rough, slabs and tumblers etc, stacked in the shop. Decided to go with more of those shoe box sized plastic tubs for the smaller, rarer rough and got a new set of shelves from Lowes which was cheaper and easier to assemble than the last set. Only 10 minutes to assemble which is nice cause the one I built for the slab boxes took forever. Supposed to handle way more weight than what I have on it but time will tell. Only a dozen or more flat raters to unload and sort. Whew! Here's a pic of the shelf setup. Some of the big rough being sorted for location of origin and put into milk crates: And finally, whoo hoo! Found all my tumbler barrels and frames so I now have four of the six running, one for each stage. In a couple of weeks I should have the first stones coming out of polish. Thanks for lookin.....Mel

Awwww, man...my garage has two defunct cars and stacks of junk piled on top of and around them. I need to fix the Pathfinder and get it outta there... Thanks for the extra motivation!

Good start, Mel. You buildin' benches next? I see those tumblers on the floor and I know we're both too old for that. If it ain't the back, it's the knees. The only thing I like on the floor is my feet.

Rich: *sad laugh* Man, I hear you there. Just in the last year or so my knees have started to bug the heck out of me. Thank God for Advil! I actually brought two work benches with me and bought and built two more but I already have them jambed with stuff. Still have to work out something for the tumblers as the darn shop is huge but lacks electric plugs around the outside of the smaller inside shop where I have most the benches. I have however, worked out some plans for a washing table that will drain my sludge into the creek behind the shop so I'll be able to wash out the barrels and sort stones sitting down. That will be nice and it will provide a place for my Work Force saw too....Mel

Wow, that really looks great! How nice to have a draining table like that ...I use a funnel into a milk jug and carry it out of here... I am sure glad it is all shaping up for you. Fran

FanTAStic!! Wow! I aspire to have such a workshop one day! (First I would need to move to a house with either a garage, workshop or cellar...)

Mel make sure you get an EPA permit to drain that sludge into the creek. ;D
