hi! i'm jim sullivan, 41 and from fenton, missouri. i've gotten back into the rock thing, after 10 or so away from it. in the past, i've mostly been into minerals, this time i want to do more with tumbling and maybe making jewlery. one of my sons, ben, age 5, seems to have the rock bug, thus, tumbling should be "cool" to him (as well as me!). maybe it's in his genes. i am a rockhound, my wife has a degree in geology, so, yeah, i can see how it'd be a part of him.
namaste,

Hi Jim. Welcome to the board.
Pardon my lack of knowledge of Missouri geography, what part of Missouri is Fenton located? My family came from Missouri, before the Navy moved mom and dad around anyway.

Search the internet for places near you to do some rockhounding. It's a great family hobby, and your wife's knowledge would be a huge assett for locating good material.
