I have an older 14 inch drop saw...my pump is gone...the pump sits in the tank and pumps oil up to the blade...I have no idea what size pump I need...and what it is really called...is it a submersible pump?...it is electric...can anyone tell me what type the pump is called and how many gph or gpm...you might suggest...thanks to all....Rich

Get a tile saw pump from home depot or the equivelent, about 20 or 30 bucks, should do the trick. I have used boat bilge pumps before, but they are 12V instead of 110, but it worked well for when I didn't have power handy.
Have a great day..................Tony

Boy, I used to have one of those saws made by Lortone and the pump always broke down. Mine was sort of a tower type pump with a mushroom type top and a rotor in the bottom that drove the fluid. Haven't seen any of those in awhile but if you go to a good a hardware or garden shop and check out fishpond submersible pumps you might find one, That's where I got my replacements. I'd get the highest volume pump that will fit in the little well in the coolant tank because the more fluid you and pump to the blade, the better. Kingsley North sells a little giant type pump that is similar so you might try their site...Mel

I temporarily installed a swamp cooler pump when mine burned up. It works just fine (temporarily several years ago).
