HI,
Is it OK to buy the Lortone grit online, or is that really expensive? It costs about $20 (plus shipping) for enough grit/polish for 12 pounds of rocks. Is that a good price, or can I buy the stuff at my local craft store (Michael's, AC Moore) for less? Or do I have to go to a special store for that stuff?
Thanks again!
Michelle

Welcome mickeddie/Michelle Forget the Lortone grit kits. I like their tumblers but the polish in those kits suck. The grit at the Rock Shed. therockshed.com/ is less expensive and the AO polish works great. If you tumble a lot you might want to consider miles supply for 60/90. I just picked up a 50# bucket. I have not seen tumbling grit at Michael's. I do not know AC moore

Hi Michelle, I haven't seen any grit at the local craft stores. The only place I've found tumbling grit is online. I completely agree with www.therockshed.com as a source. They know tumbling!
