Really nice stuff Tony. What time of the year is generally the best for diving for jade? Bob

Awesome haul Tony! That last jade hunk looks like a real prize! Definitely see the blue peeking through in that one. Mr. Whitely look nasty. Was collecting with some friends at the Monterey breakwater back in the college days once and bumped into a dead sea lion with a huge bite taken out of him. Had me looking over my shoulder and jumping at every shadow all day. Whitey is a baaaad dude!.....Mel

Wow, what a productive day! Looking forward to seeing those polished up, Tony! And thank goodness you didn't have any uninvited guests! Ya know what would be too cool, though - if you got yourself an underwater housing for your camera... I'd love to have seen the nudibranch eating a jelly! BTW, stoner is putting a flat back on that blue jade pebble I posted over in PJA - I will be sure to show off the setting once I finish that one! Nancy

Omg those are insane! yeah ain't never seen anything like that before.. so you definitely need to get an underwater camera! ... do they all look like that? .. do you think they could live in a aquarium?.. those are soo cool.(well not that scary fish) but the slugs are crazy cool!

You made me jump with the picture of whitey...after seeing the beautiful pictures of jade. Wow, nice haul! thanks Michaeljohn for posting the underwater life so we can see a ling cod. The slugs are nifty too and I can see why this was such a spectacular dive! I have to agree, you need an underwater camara to capture all the beauty of your dives. Fran

Sounds like it was a Perfect Day for you Tony. And you found some really great pieces. I'm Happy for YA! Glad you didn't pry Whitey out of his hiding place too. You better hope he doesn't start liking Jade. That's one fella I'd hate to fight rocks for. Steve

Wow: It seems you had a great day to recharge your batteries. But there is never a bad day in CA. Nice jade you picked up, and it seems like 35 pounds would be a nice haul for the day. Enjoy. Amber

Tony-
Good to see you're still out there braving whatever challenges the ocean (and the hike down) has for you. Looks like you haven't picked the ocean clean yet, Huh???
Take care,
gaetz
