Wow great rock finds and trout catches! The one hunk of wood with the fan pattern is really pretty and the trout, yum yum!....Mel

Grayfingers, next time you are up Hyalite, if you are in the mood for rockhounding-take a trip up the Langhor logging road- just past the campground and you should eventually come upon the edge of a clearcut where I found a really nice Jasper outcropping; forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/index.cgi?board=locations&action=display&thread=14157(scroll down to reply #11 for pics that might help you spot the location) We should hook up next summer when I'm up there, a good friend turned me on to where the Madison Blue agate can be found, and I will be spending at least a day on a quest for that stuff.

Nice Rocks, Nice Fish, Nice Scenery! I'll bet it's very unusual to hunt rocks this late in the year..especially for you. You're one lucky man to be so close to all that Beauty! Steve

Yes indeed there is much more than just the Hyalite opal up there, but it takes some perseverance to find the good stuff!
Those cutthroats look tasty!
