You have a lot of nice colors there. I love the snowman and the Owhyee's. I notice that you have some chips. That is a problem that I have had too. I have been told that towards the end of the tumble, you may not have enough rock and that is where you get the chips. Set some aside for the next tumble and when it gets to the final stages and you need a little filler, throw them in. You will be surprised at the difference! Keep up the good work! Fran

I really like that larget Owhee! The Graveyard is pretty cool as well.
Some of those I would have taken one or two more turns in coarse but that is my taste.

Wow, you mixed the Owyhee with the agates and it came out ok? I would have guessed it to be enough too soft to get all "worn away." Good job!

I thought the same thing about the owyhee, but since these were the only three pieces I had I risked it...however I think the three took the best polish out of all of the rest of the rocks. Thanks for the comments...I think I will implement some of the suggestions in this posting on my next batch Ozzy

Great job on such a mixed batch! There is something particularly satisfying about tumbling a mixed up random batch, isn't there? Like getting goodies for free. I particularly like the pigeon blood agate and the Owyhee. I have a few chunks of that stone that I have been saving until I can meet up with someone with a saw. What was your equipment and formula? As others have said, I prefer to run things through coarse for longer in order to get more evenly shaped stones, but that is pruely a matter of personal preference. Yours came out great and I bet they are a lot of fun in the hand!

I was actually not very happy with the way the graveyard point plume turned out but, here is what I did:
3 days 500 grit in UV18 2 days Alumina pre-polish 1 day TXP polish..
some of the other stone had gone through a full 10 days of 60/90.
Thanks for the comments.

Great batch! When I get toward the end of my stages and the load gets below the line, I add some already finished stuff from previous batches. They just keep getting better!
