I bought some rough last week and when I was unloading it I noticed one that looked like a chunk of lava rock, (around here lava is all over the place and is not a very desirable rock), and was going to chuck it, but I noticed a small section of banding on the end. That made me think I better put it into the saw and see what the banding was all about. When the first slab came off I said, hey thats kind of neat, about the 3rd or 4th slab I was going "Holy Crap", and it was the "Holy Crap" rock clear till the end. I don't know what it is, and I am gonna call it the Holy Crap rock until someone can properly identify it. These pictures were taken inside at night with a flash, so they are not the best, but it still shows it pretty good. The slabo table in sections, these all came off of 1 rock, Some random closups And speaking of crap, check out this piece of coprolite this lady that I bought some saws from gave me Well, I still have the rest of the slab bucket to wash up, but I will post that in another thread. Thanks for lookin. Have a great day..................Tony

Yes, good name you chose for that rock! Astonishimg colors! And that dino poo looks so natural, I'd take care not to step on it if I'd see it ;D
Beautiful palm wood in the close-ups of the "holy crap", although you only use it as a base.

Tony you were not kidding about that rock. Hope the rest of the pile looks as good as those. It actually kind of resembles that Queenstone that John and I collected off Sommercamp road this year only bigger pieces.

Wow! That is an outrageous bunch of slices! I've seen some odd formations in that Gary Green (Larsonite) Jasper before but never a hunk that almost would be called plumy in parts. Looks like you got some material for some really interesting cabs there.....Mel

Call it Tonyite and sell it for $. The blue/brown striping reminds me of the colors in Disaster Peak/Biggs/ and other similar Oregon/ID areas. Never seen anything like yours before.

The last two pictures look like Washington State torturous Crap. From the area of Castle Rock.
The torturous keep walking to keep their tails clean, I`v seen them over 18" long.

Nice Tony! How big was that 'holy crap' rock anyways?!? You got quite a few slabs off that puppy...and some beauts to boot. Love the turd too. It looks pretty genuine. You could 'wow' some of your friends with a practical joke with that turd. "hey guys...! You gotta check this one out...!" Steve

Ha!! And that's the addictive part of slabbing - never know what's inside, and then that 'Holy crap' moment! Priceless!! Thanks for sharing the experience....

Fantastic patterns and colour combinations Catmandewe, those slabs are amazing. That rush when the first slab comes away and reveals it's interior is sooo addictive! ;D I'm going to enjoy seeing the next batch, maybe not as much as I enjoyed these though! Thanks for the photos, and congratulations on a corker of a rock! Cheers, Sparkles.
