Howdy folks, First of let me apologize for these pics. The sun is blazing today and my darn camera way prefers cloudy day pics. washes everything out in the sun. Anyway, been going through the nodules and wanted to just post a little eye candy for all you nodule lovers like me. Thanks for looking....Mel First off some Chihuahua nodules: Laguna: Agua Nueva: Three more Laguna: Couple more Agua Nueva: Oddball Lagunas with sagenite and moss: This one came with a batch of Laguna but it's kind of atypical of the type: Came with Laguna's but both are kind of oddballs. The left one is kind of a bouquet agate and the other real smooth skinned for a Laguna with almost iris colors. I'm working on a cab of this one to see if it actually has iris effect: Then a couple of African Malawi agate example I stumbled onto. These unfortunately are virtually always fractured: And finally, not a nodular form but left this out of my lace section. man, this is much more purple than it photographed but this is Poyal Purple Lace ( not the same as royal purple Aztec lace) but from the same region of Durango, Mexico.

I love Nodule Sunday...even better than Fossil Friday! ;D Did I miss yesterdays event?? Lots of nice nodules there Mel. I especially like #6 and #8 and that Malawi one is sweeet. Never heard of Poyal Purple Lace...but I'll bet it's not too common. Steve

Glorious Agates Mel, Your collection continues to blow me away, those are beautiful.
The ones with the mosses in are particularly super, I love to see the variations in agates from a single source, and those Lagunas are excellent. However I enjoyed the Malawi Agates tremendously, I believe they are particularly old in formation terms, and the pattern in the first is amazing, I like those little fortification islands on the right edge, the shape of the nodules is interesting too, very flat and more vein like, most interesting. Thanks for sharing your goodies, I love seeing jaw dropping Agates! ;D
Cheers,
Sparkles.

Steve; You didn't miss anything. Yesterday was "work on the stupid tumblers day" and "bird watching day with my wife". My two old 33B's are both on their last legs and I'm having to tinker with the things constantly to try to keep four tumblers going so I'll have one for each stage. Think I'm finally going to have to break down and buy a couple of new motors *L* Birding is wonderful here at the ranch this time of year as the migratory water fowl are starting to hit the lakes. Yesterday, we saw our first Black-Bellied Ducks ever which was very cool!.....Mel

Don't worry about the light condition, picture those beauties on the moonlight and I bet they'd still look great! My favorite is the first Agua Nueva, but I made my mind after scrolling the pics up and down three times.
