I back-lit some thin-skinned crystal bomb Lakers with a small flashlight. ;D The blue is from a little light coming in the basement window. 30 second exposures.

Wow! Steve you should make a calendar with these. Maybe different colors for different months... just a thought, throwin it out there...

That's a great idea naturenut! It would be a really fun project, probably for 2010.
What do you think RTHers would like to see? Rocks, landscape photography related to prospecting, both?

HOT DAMN! That looks wicked! I likey that look! kinda reminds me of my nightlight.. only yours looks like an alien being born... LOL
and no im not reeeeallly scared of the dark..ok maybe just a lil bit but, it's just a pretty light.. But it's this Huge salt rock i'm thinking it's from utah.. orangish red tint to it that has a hold drilled up into it and was made into a lamp! it's way cool.. that's what your first pic reminded me of..

Awesome Pictures! I'd have never thought of that - and what a fun way to see your gorgeous Agates!
They look like something out of the dawn of time, or the edge of a volcano, really great fun! Thanks for the picture show!
