It would make a nice ring for a giant.

You have SO got to put that on one of those light-up bases!

Yes, I was thinking about that. What I'd really like to do is be able to light up the entire living room with it...that would be sweet! ;D

What type of material is it? I tried googling "eastern crystal" and found someone selling "BIG 100mm Faceted Eastern Crystal Faceted Stones" not much more help there though. I like it in any case.

I found of of those and bought it for my daughter. I don't know what she's going to use it for (paperweight, maybe?) but it was too pretty to pass up. They had them in a few colors. I hadn't seen a purple one,,
Hey Randy, I'm a gingersnap lover,,,here's a recipe for the best dip ever for those cookies.
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened 2 (7 ounce) jars marshmallow creme 1 (15 ounce) can solid pack pumpkin 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
DIRECTIONS In a medium bowl, beat together cream cheese and marshmallow creme until smooth. Fold in pumpkin and cinnamon. Cover, and chill in the refrigerator until serving.

That is a cool stone, make a wrapped base for it so it sits upright like a ring then put it on one of those bases that Karen suggested. Just a thought. but do while munching and dipping.
One of the girls where I use to work would bring dip like that in along with ginger snaps...yummy!
