Here are a few specimens from 2008. Most of places I collect happen to be on the border of Oregon and Idaho in the Owyhee Mountains. All specimens were self collected except the Bruneau and the Graveyard Point which were old stock material that I just purchased last weekend. Graveyard Point Plume Agate Probably one of the nicest pieces I personally have seen. Specimen is 4 X 2 x 2 inches and weighs 5 oz. Owyhee Picture JasperNot necessarily the best piece but I love the colors and the beautiful polish that the face took. Pieces is 4 x 4 x 3 inches and weighs 7 oz. Black Bruneau Jasper It maybe small but it's hard to find it in black with orbs unless you have some serious cash. Pieces is 2x 2 x 2 weighs 3.5 oz Jamison Oregon Petrified WoodBoth of these pieces were collected back in June and are some of the best wood specimens I have collected. The first one is 8 x 3.5 inches and weighs 3 lb. The second piece is 6 x 5 x 3 inches and weighs 3.5 pounds. Reynolds Creek Idaho Petrified WoodThis little guy looks like you should throw it on the fire it looks like it just was cut from the tree. Specimen is 3.5 x 1.5 x 3 inches and weighs 3 oz. Same piece side view Dino Bone UtahThis specimen I found in Tony's rock pile back about 2 months ago. The piece is 5 x 3 x 2 inches and weighs 2.8 pounds. Figured I would help fill the new section of the forum. Jason

Oh Jason! Those are all really nice! I especially like that graveyard plume and the black bruneau. All are fantastic to look at though! Fran

That plume is outstanding! The wood is gorgeous. Oregon probably has the best looking wood in the US. ( Ouch, that hurt to say that) Curt

WOW, the graveyard is phemomenal and the black Bruneau is definitely rarer than hen's teeth. Thanks for posting, HPD

These are great specimens to view! My favorite is the Graveyard Point plume, but the Jamison petwood is also very nice, and the black Bruneau, and.......all are nice. Good photography too. These photos make me want to head for the Owyhee Mountains. Isn't digital photography great!

When you sent me that photo of the Graveyard Point I was hoping that you were going to post it to the forum. What a surprise it is to find all these other photos. You outdid yourself with these. When the snow melts, do you want to go to Graveyard Point so you can collect some pieces yourself?

1rockhound gorgeous! headed to GYP today and wanted some inspiration. I love hiking around Wilson and Reynolds creeks - next time I'll have to look more closely, that pet wood is really nice
