The WF is a magical device. It turns ugly rocks into really cool rocks. I love that first one!

Wow nice rocks. I like the first and third. The WF is a real bargain for those of us who can't afford one of the real lapidary saws.

Just goes to show "never judge a rock by it's cover" Those are great and you really have some beautiful material.
Boy I wish the snow would go away.

Wow NorthShoreRocks, I love your Jaspers! Those stones are amazing! You have got some spectacular cuts there. I can't believe you have them in the "Ugly Bucket" ;D They Rule! There are lots of interesting patterns and colours in those stones, I don't know if you picked them up yourself, but they look like some of the finest Jaspers I've ever seen. Your tumbler should be very busy indeed putting a super shine on those sweeties. Congratulations on the new saw, can't wait to see if you can keep turning out stunners like these! Thanks so much for brightening up my day! Cheers, Sparkles.

Naw, you were right, it's all garbage. Fill a big garbage can and send it to me for "proper disposal". ;D

LOL! ;D You gotta remember, before I found this sight, I only collected fortification Lakers. I had a discard pile and a couple of ugly buckets. The only reason those "reject" rocks made it home was because they were dirty and were the right shape. It was great fun re-evaluating those rocks and giving them their proper due! This place is very educational and the people who hang here are very giving of that knowledge. It's like going to a cool class every day! Just from this thread alone, I'm quite sure I have several rocks that are Mary Ellen Jasper in addition to the one pictured. So now I've done a little research on Mary Ellen Jasper and before this post, had never even heard of it. There's examples like that in almost all the threads I've posted photos in. Needless to say, none of these rocks reside in the ugly bucket or discard pile anymore. I truely can't wait to hound the warmer months coming. Looking at the rocks with a different perspective is gonna be BIG fun! Thanks guys!
