The group... A pretty big opal I grooved. About 2 1/4 x 1 1/2 inches. Groove showing. I'd left it pretty thick. It is just a big stone And the lightshow... Unknown jasper A piece of that wonderful ghostwood...many, many thanks to Curt!! And another opal I grooved. That is three opals I've cut grooves in now, and only one broke in two. The first. I'm a bit more careful now Thanks, Tony

Great pics. I have a few pieces of ththat type of opal. It doesn't look like much, but after seeing ours, I can't wait to work some up and see what happens.

Nice cabs the unknown would be African Queen I think. Its one of my favorite pic. jaspers but the older material is much better than what is out there now. The older is much more defined (or less of the sandy look to it) with clearer scenes in it. George

That light show is awesome. You must have kept your fingers, I mean toes crossed when you were grooving the opals. I think that is pretty impressive. The wood looks great also.

The big opal and the ghost wood age both a beauty. Please post the BO pendant when you finish it.

Great stuff Tony! That's a big beautiful opal. I've come to a standstill cabbing, but hope to get back at it soon. Nice job on the GW.

Holy moley that's a big opal. Just the material probably cost you $20! It was pretty daring of you to groove it but I bet it will be spectacular once you wrap it. Gotta love Curt's wood, ghost wood that is. ;D

Thanks, folks! Amber.... no groove cutter yet. I did it the old fashioned way like Adrian does with a blade mounted on my arbor and rolling the stone through it. Sure want a groove cutter though...my birthday is coming up soon, you little sweetie Have I told you lately how beautiful and cool I think you are? Hey, TurnedStone....thanks for the id on the jasper. Curt... you can't stand still, man, so many rocks...so little time Tony...I hope you two will get some of Gene's rough off ebay...better stuff will blow your mind! Tony

TONY! I need a warning so I don't have to cover my mouth and prevent myself from drooling all over the keyboard! That Boulder Opal is really beautiful with so much fire in it! Every one of them in this batch are simply stunners! Fran
