I don't do contests very often but i thought this would be fun. All i need for you do to is enter names for this rock. We will vote on the names and the winner will get a slab. Because i don't do this, i may need help on how to set up the voting part. I will let this run for a week. So it will end jan. 21st. After that we will vote on the name. Anyone who would like to help me with this would be great .

Icecream Cone Jasper. There is a little ice cream cone to the right at the just past 3:00 position. I have heard it told that Icecream Cone Jasper is somewhat abundant however finding one that actually has the ice cream cone markings are extremely rare now.
Good for you MaryAnn and Ralph, you found one. lol
Thanks for the contest this is fun.

Some of those greenish spots look exactly like some cab shapes, so I'd name this material

Reminds me of a sunset I once saw in the Painted Desert, hence I would name it Desert Sunset Jasper.

Can we submit more than one name? If so,
Black Hole Jasper
because that black spot make me think of the Black Hole.
