Went to buy some 60/90 grit today and my local supplier didn't have any. A couple months ago I bought his last 5 pound container. He had lots of 100 grit he bought in bulk and it looks like he is trying to sell it all before getting any 60/90. I got 5 lbs rather than having no rough grit at all, but would prefer the 60/90. Can anyone recommend a good place in Canada (I'm in Nova Scotia) to buy some rough grit in quantity? (and hopefully save a few$$). Also is anyone using 100 grit for the rough grind? I suppose it will work but how much slower will it be grinding? Thanks

I was told you can get pure silicone carbide blasting grit at Aklands grainger quite cheap (about $1/lb). I was told it is the same stuff as tumbling grit but I have not checked it out yet as I still have some course left. If you do check it out let us know what you think.
