Congratulations Nate & Girls. Shannon, I'm sure that was a toughy. I know what it's like looking for rock and only finding limerock. Several members here have kept me going like you have done here for Nate. Bless you for having such a wonderful contest to keep our noobys interest alive and in Nate's case, sharing with his daughters.

WOW!!! I can't believe we won! Thank you so much Shannon! Abby's eyes lit up when I told her we won. She exclaimed "And I had asked for polish rocks for my birthday too! Thank you Thank you!!!" I had not told anyone I entered this contest, as I wasn't expecting to win. What a great surprise to end a great day! Thank you everyone for your great comments, too! It means so much to me. Nate

We got a big heavy box in the mail today!!! OH MY GOD!!!! Shannon, we can't thank you enough! And tell your daughter thank you too! My daughters (and I) loved everything! Here's a quick rundown of what Shannon sent us! - 2 zip bags of tumble mix (these are almost splitting at the seams!) - Over a dozen geodes - 1/2 dozen Richardson Ranch Thunder Eggs - One zip bag each of Mozarkite, Chrysocolla, and Fossil Coral - And last but certainly not least a bag of misc. stuff from Shannon's daughter! We are overwhelmed by your generosity, Shannon. Hopefully someday I can repay the favor! I'll get it all cleaned up tomorrow and post pics once it's all documented. Nate

You are very welcome Nate! Im just sorry it took a little longer than planned.......I was down with a chest cold for about 9 days plus some unexpected snow caused my business to be closed (no work=no money for shipping rocks! ) Glad you and the girls liked what I sent. Have you cracked open the geodes yet? Those are great fun! Shannon

No big deal Shanon. I didn't know what the mailing time was on a box of rocks anyway. My local mail is a little slow too. Oh yeah, we cracked open 2 geodes. They're simply amazing! That's all I got done today as we had plans to go out of town for the afternoon. That sucked! I wanted to stay home and clean the rocks up. lol No plans to go anywhere tomorrow, so I'll get them all washed up and photoed and show them off.

All right, here's the haul! Mozarkite Chrysocolla Fossil Coral Geodes - I cracked 2, my younger daughter cracked 1. My older daughter didn't get a "crack" at them yet Thunder Eggs The mixture from Shannon's daughter The 2 bags of tumbling mix Lastly, my daughter working the geode Once again, thank you so much Shannon! We'll get many hours of enjoyment working with all this material. Now I need to do some studying to figure out what to do with it all! I'm guessing I'll be building something to cab with next! Nate
